My birth name is Titus Lowe, I regard myself a painter rather than an artist., as I work mostly in oil paints on canvas. I was trained in the UK where I live and work. I am inspired by rich colour and shape, I have a varied interest in art, from Gauguin to Japanese prints, to aboriginal cave paintings . I love the simple raw colour and shape. Of this type of work for me, simple design and rich colour put on with minimum brush strokes is what I try to achieve. I think shape and colour has a non verbal language that people respond to.
